My name is I am a blogger, a trained classical singer (though I am kind of out of practise now :-S ) and a home maker. Apart from cooking which I am very passionate about, my other interests include making papier mache objects and recycling newspapers, old glass bottles, plastic bottles to make some beautiful and creative things to be used around home.

This blog is an attempt to share some of the recipes that everyone at home has enjoyed, whether it had been cooked by my grandparents, my mother or myself. Some recipes are ones that have been passed down through the generations and they definitely hold a special place in my heart. ;;)  There are days when I actually seek to replicate the flavours of certain dishes that I enjoyed as a kid. I had been a very poor eater as a kid.  To date I am unable to figure out when I really developed a taste for food and cooking in particular.

Nevertheless, these recipes have been made with all my love and here it is for you to try. Making this blog has been such a lovely experience as it brought back lot of lovely memories of my childhood and the flavours and experiences that I have cherished.  ;;)

The comments and encouragement from my family and friends has been tremendous and has been driving me day in day out to try more and include many more recipes. Thank you all and hope you enjoy the blog. You can write to me on prathima.aqua@gmail.com

Prathima baked a wonderful sugar free red velvet cake made out of beetroot extract , oats and soya milk. It was really wonderful and since it was sugar free we devoured guilt free! :)

Awesome work :D
