Caramel Pudding

This Caramel Pudding with the strong flavour of vanilla and caramel make it a very flavorful dessert.

Preparation Time : 5 minutes
Cooking Time : 15 minutes
Serves : 2

Ingredients

Sugar - 3 tbsp
Water - 1 tbsp
Milk - 300 ml
Eggs  - 3
Sugar - to taste
Vanilla Essence - 1/2 to 3/4 tsp

Procedure

1. Take a medium mixing bowl.
2. To make the caramel, combine sugar and water and place the vessel on a low flame.
3. Stir till the sugar dissolves.
4. Increase the flame to a medium high and let the mixture boil. Do not disturb it except for an occasional stir.
5. Switch off the stove when the mixture turns a deep amber color.
6. Transfer to a pudding bowl.
7. Add eggs one at a time to the milk and beat well.
8. Add sugar to taste (about 1/2 cup)
9. Add the vanilla essence and mix well.
10. Pour this mixture on the caramel
11. Steam the pudding for exactly 20 minutes
12. After it cools down, put it in the refrigerator.
13. Serve it cold.
